this is not my beautiful house. or my beautiful shed.but i *do* have a house now. well sort of. not exactly a house. or a shed, more of a garage apartment. which, taking into account the charming architecture of my new town, i will now call ... my Faux SundayHouse.
plenty of news since i was last here (in public). a fabuloso week with both girls. continued unemployment. continued confusion. then finally - ergh i can't stand it anymore!! - a little apartment presented itself. i was wanted. i could afford it. so i did it. i will live in Fredericksburg. it is where i have been for 4 months now and it is becoming homey, even though i still have some heartache for The Big City (Austin!!). but Austin seemed to not want me and i have become tired of the struggle. today my amazing youngest sister and her husband and tiny Kathy (all who i have been living with for 4 months) and i moved ALL my things from storage to the new place. they are so kind and good and i wish i could do something wonderful for them, too. i am glad i will still be in the same town with them. but i am glad to be IN a town! not in the country! i will be able to walk everywhere. or at least ride my bike. it will be weird, because of course, in Texas, everyone DRIVES. but i remain an alien.
tonight i am back in Austin, dogsitting. i like living in Margaret's spare apartment in Austin. i do love it here so much. this town. but i will be ok. i WILL. i expect to find some interesting work in Fredericksburg. maybe even friends. it is small and safe and sane there. leaving plenty of mental energy for Art. and i can come to the city anytime!
i am really looking forward to seeing all my STUFF again and making an artTable and my own nest and just everything. a Home.
