i have to admit living in a small Texas hill country town is growing on me. i think if it were not a "cute tourist town" also, i would probably not be as pleased. i really enjoy having my 3-mile hike include my mexican neighborhood, interesting houses, the charming shops in the old stone buildings downtown, pleasant people ... and LONGHORNS under LIVEOAKS. what a nice balance.

when i am not wandering about town with my camera and stressing over the end of my unemployment benefits and cursing Governor Goodhair (aka: Perry) and his lying face for assuring me there are plenty of jobs in Texas, i am actually busy in my new little studioHome. i am finishing LOTS of work ... even though i have not been showing it, it has been happening. and i am preparing for a transition and a surprise at the first of next year. it is time for something different to reflect my changed life.

onward...

How great to hear that you are adjusting and blooming. Getting used to the weather, even? You're giving me hope for a change in my own future (that, who knows, might happen one day).
