yesterday i made up for the lack of pictures for May. it was a great walk. i felt achy and tired at first and thought i might only make a couple of miles. but i was having such fun. then i stopped downtown for froYo and saw a flyer for a "Save the Poehler" party, that was just starting. so i decided to hike over there. i wanted to go in. The Poehler is the old building where Traci and i had our studio for several years. it was a grand time. i loved being in that space. many cities have lots of crusty old brick warehouses, but we only have that one. the first time i saw it, just after i moved here, i squealed "oh i would love to have a studio there!!!!" and a few months later - i DID. now it is run down (even worse than when we were there) and heavily tagged. some developer wants to turn it into "affordable housing". maybe he will. anything is better than destroying it. but i didn't get to go in and see the old studio one last time. only fat cats were allowed in. the peons must stay out in the cracked parking lot and eat hot dogs and listen to a lousy band on a flatbed trailer. i walked around and made some pictures, then hiked home and ate some ibuprofen. it was a great walk.
